Heat the oil in a pan and sear the meat all around for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, remove.
Also sauté the paprika, onions and garlic with the tomato paste. Deglaze with the broth.
Add the sauerkraut. Season with salt, pepper, caraway seeds and the paprika powder. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 8 minutes. Add meat after 5 minutes.
Arrange on plates, sprinkle with the thyme and serve. If you like, you can add a dollop of sour cream or sour cream.
