Finely chop the spring onions and garlic. Sauté both in a saucepan with oil over medium heat until lightly colored. Put the tomatoes, coconut milk, vegetable stock and the juice of the orange in the saucepan and simmer for about 8 minutes over low heat. Stir every now and then, of course.
Add salt, pepper, sugar and the hot spice. Stir again and simmer for 2 minutes. Finally, season again to taste.
