Instructions

  1. Peel and grate the turnip, e.g., Julienne in the food processor.
  2. Melt the butter in a large pan or in a roasting pan and fry the vegetables over high heat for 5-7 minutes. Stir several times so that it takes on color but does not turn dark. Season well with salt and pepper, stir in a little stocking powder and the cream and reduce the heat. Simmer for about 5 minutes with the lid closed until it is cooked but still has a slight bite.
  3. Goes well with many hearty meat dishes as a side dish.
