- I mix a dressing from oil, vinegar, apple cider, salt and pepper.
- 1 1/2 onions are diced.
- I cut 1 1/2 onions into half rings.
- I put the hand cheese in a deep plate, cover it with the diced onions and pour half of the dressing over it.
- I put the other half of the dressing in a bowl and put the onion rings in it. That becomes the music for the cooked cheese.
- I let the hand cheese and music steep for about 24 hours. Then I serve the two cheese specialties with fresh farmhouse bread and cider.
- You can add caraway seeds to taste. It will then be more digestible, but we don`t like caraway seeds.
