Peel and quarter the pears, remove the core and then cut into bite-sized pieces.
In a large saucepan, just cover the pear pieces with water
Add allspice grains, sugar as desired, 2 packets of vanilla sugar and cook with the lid on for at least an hour.
Mix the starch powder and the vanilla sauce powder with the aroma and some cold water in a cup and add to the boiling liquid, stir well. Season to taste with sugar / glucose / honey and let simmer if necessary.
