Instructions

  1. Grease a 26 springform pan and chill.
  2. Mix flour, oat flakes, sugar and syrup, add oil and water and work everything into an even crumble dough. Press about 2/3 of it into the springform pan as a base, pulling up an edge of approx. 3 cm. Chill the springform pan and the rest of the crumble.
  3. Peel, quarter, core and dice the apples.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C top / bottom heat
  5. Mix the apple sauce with the flour. Then stir in the apple pieces. If you like, you can also add sugar / cinnamon to the mixture to make it sweeter or more aromatic.
  6. Place the apple filling on the prepared dough base in the springform pan and distribute the remaining crumble on top as evenly as possible.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes.
  8. (Caution: The crumbles do not get as nice and brown as you know it from ordinary butter crumbles, this is due to the oil - so don`t rely on the tan!
