Cut off the woody ends of the green asparagus and peel the lower third if necessary. Cut the asparagus stalks into 3 - 5 pieces. Cut the smoked tofu into large cubes.
Then alternately place two pieces of asparagus and a piece of smoked tofu (asparagus-asparagus-tofu asparagus-asparagus-tofu-asparagus-asparagus) on skewers, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Grill until the smoked tofu is crispy. Tastes just like that or with a herbal dip, e.g. soy yoghurt with chives.
