- Butter, powdered sugar and egg yolks are stirred until smooth and taste the mixture with a pinch of salt and a little vanilla sugar.
- Stir in the roughly chopped walnuts and flour and immediately form rolls (about 3-4cm in diameter) out of the dough.
- Now shape the rolls into a square shape with a flat object, e.g. a board, and let them cool down well in the refrigerator (1-2 hours).
- Then cut off thin slices and bake them on a baking sheet with baking paper at around 150 degrees hot air for 9 minutes.
- The baking time and temperature vary from stove to stove. The cookies should still be very light.
