Mix all the dough ingredients together and knead into a soft, smooth dough. Knead by hand for about 10 minutes with the hand mixer for about 5 minutes or with the food processor for about 4 minutes. Cover and let rise until the volume has doubled, at room temperature for about 1 hour.
Shape the dough into 14 Weggli (rolls) and let rise for another 20-40 minutes. Brush with egg yolk before cutting and baking. Bake for 20-25 minutes in the middle of the oven preheated to 200 degrees.
The Weggli can be changed as desired: olives (100 g) and tomatoes (3 dried ones), ham or bacon (200 g), 1 onion and Gruyere (100 g).
