Instructions

  1. The grapes are first destemmed and washed.
  2. Put the diced pineapple, honeydew melon and grapes in a carafe with a capacity of 2 liters.
  3. Cut the peeled banana into slices, halve, add (not too thin) and pour Cointreau, brandy and banana liqueur over it.
  4. Mix everything lightly and add the pineapple juice or grape juice with the wine.
  5. Cover and let stand in a cool place for 1-2 hours.
  6. Just before serving, top up with Fanta, sparkling wine and ice cubes.
  7. We were served this sangria in Spain on Fuerteventura several years ago and it has been our summer drink ever since. Filled up with sparkling wine or mineral water.
  8. At a larger party, I put all the ingredients in double quantities in a bowl pot.
  9. The fruits can be very different. Pear, orange, peach, and apple also go very well.
  10. The special thing about this delicious sangria is the banana liqueur.
  11. If you like the sangria lighter - simply stretch it with Fanta, juice and mineral water.
