Knead the flour, sugar, eggs, margarine and salt quickly to form a smooth dough, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
Roll out the dough on a floured work surface approx. 5 mm thick and cut out circles approx. 10 cm in diameter. These dough circles are now pressed into buttered, flat muffin tins (approx. 24 pieces).
Color the remaining dough with green food coloring, press it through a garlic press and lay it as grass in the nests. Leave free space for the sugar eggs.
Bake at 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes. After cooling, take the nests out of the molds and mix the powdered sugar with a little water and green food coloring to a viscous pouring and use it to stick the eggs in the nests.
Looks nice on the Easter table and is also suitable as a small souvenir. Instead of the sugar eggs, you can of course also use chocolate eggs or something similar.
