I propose to cook envelope pies in the oven. We will cook yeast dough, and make the filling from processed cheese curds with the addition of bell pepper, garlic, mayonnaise and fresh herbs.
Let’s prepare the products. From this amount of ingredients, you get 8 envelope pies.
Sift all the flour into a large bowl (you need a little more than 3 glasses of 250 ml capacity).
Add dry yeast and salt to the flour. Mix well.
Pour in warm water and vegetable oil.
Knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands. Round the dough in a bowl and set aside in a warm place for an hour.
During this time, we will prepare the filling. Grate the processed cheese on a medium grater into a separate bowl, add ground black pepper.
Let’s clean the garlic. Add mayonnaise to the cheese mass and squeeze the garlic through a press.
Wash the bell pepper and fresh dill. Cut the pepper lengthwise, remove the seeds, cut off the tail. Grate pepper on a coarse grater in a bowl to the cheese mass. Chop the dill finely and also add to the cheese mass.
Mix all the ingredients – the filling is ready.
The dough has come up – it has increased in size and is ready for further work. I weighed it and I got 880 g.
Let’s divide all the dough into 8 equal parts – one part weighs 110 g.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper. Sprinkle flour on the working surface. Roll each part of the dough into a circle with a rolling pin and put about a tablespoon of cheese filling in the middle.
Lift the edges of the dough on four sides and fold over the filling in the form of an envelope. Pinch the adjacent edges of the dough – glue the envelope. Put all the khachapuri on a baking sheet. We will bake khachapuri at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Cool the ready-made yeast envelope pies with cheese, bell pepper and dill slightly.
