Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 200 g butter
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 100 grams flour
  • 50 g walnuts, round
  • 4 egg whites

For the topping:

  • 100 g powdered suar
  • 4 egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter with the sugar. Add the flour and the ground walnuts and make a homogeneous dough. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in carefully. Smooth out in a square shape (25 x 25 cm) and bake at 180 ° C for 30 - 40 minutes until golden yellow.
  2. Beat the 4 egg yolks with the powdered sugar in a water bath until creamy until the mixture becomes very light. Then pour over it and distribute evenly. Let cool down and carefully cut into small slices with a warm knife.
