Ingredients

  • 450 g flour
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 200 ml water
  • 20 g yeast
  • 40 g butter
  • 1 egg (s), separated
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 150 g spice paste, (sweet red bean paste, anko, alternatively Nutella)

Instructions

  1. Put the flour, sugar, salt, egg white and butter in a bowl. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water, gradually add to the ingredients and knead everything into a smooth yeast dough. Cover the dough and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. Then divide the dough into 10 equal pieces, flatten each one a little and put a spoonful of Anko or Nutella in the middle. Seal the edges over the filling so that you get 10 balls of dough. Place the balls with enough space on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush with a little water, cover with a towel and let rise for another 20 minutes in a warm place. Whisk the egg yolk and brush the anpan with it. Bake for 15 minutes at 180 ° C fan oven. Let cool down.
