Ingredients

  • 3 kg potato (s), grated
  • 2 rolls, stale
  • 0.5 liter ½ milk, hot
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ black pepper from the mill
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ nutmeg, ground
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 4 sausages (Mettwürstchen or Cabanossi)
  • some oil

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and grate them on the food processor (or by hand). Heat the milk and soak the rolls in it. Add the soft rolls with the milk to the potato mixture. Add the eggs, mix everything thoroughly and season with the spices. Cut the sausages into slices and add them as well.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and heat a little oil in a saucepan. Pour the mixture into the saucepan and put it in the oven. Cook for about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  3. The longer the dish stays in the oven, the more beautiful the crust will be. Applesauce is served with it.
