Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil, for stewing
  • 1 bunch spring onion (s), finely chopped
  • 100 g ham, diced
  • 100 g tomato (s), finely chopped
  • 3 slices bread, rolls or toast
  • 100 g quark, (sprin quark)
  • 3 slices cheese (e.g. Emmentaler)
  • some chives, basil

Instructions

  1. Wash the spring onions and cut them into small pieces, increasing the gaps from the tuber to the green end. If you like, you can use the Fibonacci sequence as a guide.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in the pan. Now sauté the cut spring onions with the ham cubes together in the pan on medium heat. Shortly afterwards you can add the chopped tomatoes and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. In the meantime, brush three slices of bread with spring quark and top with cheese.
  4. Now place the bread slices upside down in the pan with the cheese facing down. It is desirable that the bread lies on top of the rest of the pan. Let the cheese melt on a light level.
  5. Then take the bread out of the pan with a spatula and place it on a plate again with the cheese facing upwards, distributing the rest of the pan over the bread. Add herbs, for example chives or basil, if you like.
