Hummus is a snack made from chickpeas (chickpeas), one of the most popular dishes in the Near and Middle East. The hummus recipe will delight exotic lovers and vegetarians. Hummus is prepared according to tradition, but, as an option, with avocado oil.
Ingredients
Chickpeas – 200 g
Tahini (sesame paste) – 2 tbsp
Garlic – 5 cloves
Salt to taste
Cilantro – to taste
Cumin – to taste
Lemon juice – 80 ml
Avocado oil – 200 ml
Sweet paprika – for decoration
Directions
Soak chickpeas for several hours in plenty of water with a teaspoon of baking soda. It is convenient to do this in the evening and leave it overnight. In the morning, rinse the chickpeas well and cook until tender. It can be an hour, maybe two: it all depends on what sort of peas you purchased, how it was dried.
Pressing two large lemons, roll them on the board – this way the juice flows better. Divide each lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
Rinse the boiled chickpeas with boiled water and put them in a blender bowl.
Fill with boiled water – so that it slightly covers the peas.
Melem in a blender for at least 5 minutes.
Peel and add garlic to the chickpeas.
Chop and add cilantro, cumin and salt.
Run the blender again – for two minutes.
Add tahini, a sesame seed paste. It is also called tahina and tahini, or simply sesame seed paste.
Pour avocado oil into a blender and run it for another minute. The consistency of hummus should be similar to low-fat sour cream. If it comes out thicker, you can add a little water.
At the finish, add lemon juice and stir for another minute.
Serving. Serving hummus right is a great art. Put hummus in a deep plate, sprinkle with sweet paprika and decorate with a sprig of cilantro. Add a little avocado oil. Serve hummus with warm pita bread.
