Instructions

  1. Sieve the flour with salt and baking powder, add the softened butter, the egg white and the water. Now mix the dough with your hand or the dough hook, then let it rest for half an hour.
  2. Core the dates and heat gently in a pan with butter, add 50 g of walnuts.
  3. Roll out half of the dough thinly with a rolling pin, spread the date mixture evenly over it with a spoon. Roll up the dough tightly like a Swiss roll and cut the roll into slices with a knife at two-centimeter intervals. Place the date kulica on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  4. Mix 200 g walnuts with sugar and cinnamon. Roll the other half of the dough thinly with a rolling pin and then cut out with a glass. Put a little nut filling on each of the dough circles and fold the dough over it in a crescent shape, pressing the edges tight. Also place this Kulica on the baking sheet and brush all of them with the egg yolk using a brush.
  5. Bake at 180 ° C for 15-20 minutes.
