Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g cream quark
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • Fat for frying
  • Icing sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients in a bowl and make a batter. Heat the fat in a saucepan.
  2. Using a teaspoon, cut off small portions from the dough and add a second teaspoon to the hot fat. Bake the pomegranates on both sides until golden brown. Turn down the temperature a little while baking. Use a slotted spoon to lift the pomegranates out of the fat and drain on paper towels or let them cool down. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
  3. They taste best freshly baked.
