Making a barbecue at home is absolutely real. If you do not have the opportunity to go out into nature or it is winter outside, but you don’t really want to go outside, you can cook a barbecue in the oven. Pickled meat is laid out on pickled onions and baked in the oven, in the sleeve – it couldn’t be easier! The taste is almost the same as that of the usual kebab, but the meat remains juicy and aromatic.
Cook: 1 hour 30 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
Pork (neck) – 700 g
Bulb onions – 3 pcs. (200 g)
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Vinegar (table 9%) – 2 tbsp
Barbecue spices – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Directions
Prepare everything for cooking a kebab. The meat can be slightly frozen in the freezer, then the slices will be smoother when cutting. Peel and rinse the onions. During the cooking process, you will need a sleeve and parchment paper.
Cut the onions into thin half-rings.
Cut the pork into cubes about 3×3 cm.
Combine chopped meat, barbecue spices, salt and one onion, cut into half rings in a deep bowl.
Mix the meat with spices and onions with your hands and leave to marinate for 30 minutes. You can increase the marinating time, then you need to put the meat in the refrigerator.
Pour boiling water over the remaining 2 chopped onions. Leave it on for 1 minute and then drain the water. This is how we remove the bitterness.
Add sugar to a bowl of onions, pour in the vinegar and 100 ml of drinking water. Stir and marinate for 20 minutes.
Cover the baking dish with parchment, put a sleeve on top, tied on one side. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees.
Free the onion from the marinade and place the bottom layer in a baking sleeve.
Place the pork with onions and spices on top of the onion.
Tie the other end of the sleeve and use a toothpick (fork) to pierce the top of the film to allow air to escape.
Bake the pork neck kebab in an oven preheated to 220 degrees for 1 hour. 5-7 minutes before the end of the baking time, cut and open the foil to brown the meat.
Pork skewers, baked with onions in a sleeve, serve with fresh herbs and vegetables. The meat turned out to be soft, juicy, with an appetizing crust, and the onion just melts in your mouth.
Such a treat is great to cook for the holidays, for a large company.
Bon Appetit!
