Ingredients

  • 600 g potato (s)
  • 150 g baby spinach
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 chilli pepper (s), red
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cumin powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ turmeric
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel and roughly dice the potatoes. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Halve the chilli lengthways, remove the seeds and cut the pod into strips.
  2. Heat some vegetable oil in a large pan. Sweat the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the spinach, and fry for 5 minutes. Season everything with salt and pepper. Add enough water to cover the bottom and cook for another 15 minutes with the lid closed. Occasionally stir the potatoes. If the water has boiled off before the potatoes are done, add a little more water. As soon as the potatoes are cooked, add the spinach and cook until it collapses.
