Ingredients

  • 400 g le slice (s), from beef
  • 400 g potato (s), waxy
  • 4 medium onion (s)
  • 1 large can corn
  • 1 large can kidney beans
  • 750 ml meat stock
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • salt
  • Curry powder

Instructions

  1. First cut the onions into rings and sauté in oil until translucent.
  2. Then season well with salt and curry powder.
  3. Cut the meat into small, bite-sized cubes and add to the meat stock. Also dice the potatoes and add them. Cook the whole thing on a medium heat until the potatoes are pleasantly soft (experience has shown that at least 30 minutes).
  4. Then add the corn, the beans and the onion and simmer for another 15 minutes. Season to taste with a little black pepper and salt.
  5. This traditional African stew is prepared in different variations all over Africa.
