Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 500g flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 1 glass milk, approx. 00 ml
  • 1 glass water, approx. 00 ml
  • 1 glass oil, approx. 00 ml

For the cast:

  • 100 g syrup (rape syrup - Üzüm Pekmez)
  • 30 g water, approx.
  • sesame

Instructions

  1. Make a yeast dough from the ingredients and let rise in a warm place. Divide the dough into 6-8 pieces (depending on the desired size), shape them into strands and connect the ends and form rings.
  2. Mix the grape syrup with the water in a deep, sufficiently large container. There are different types of pekmez, if it`s not quite runny, add a little more water.
  3. Place the rings one after the other in the grape syrup bath. They should be completely covered, then immediately turn in sesame seeds and place on the baking sheet, pull into shape if necessary.
  4. Let the rings rest for about 15 minutes and then bake at 180-200 ° for about 20-30 minutes.
