Instructions

  1. Wash the apples thoroughly. Core them and cut into pieces, keeping the peel on.
  2. In a large container with a wide neck, layer the apple pieces with the cinnamon stick and vanilla sugar.
  3. Pour the sugar evenly over the top of the layers.
  4. Pour the schnapps over the sugar.
  5. Do not stir or shake the container. Let the sugar dissolve slowly on its own.
  6. Place the container in a dark, cool location.
  7. Let the liqueur steep for at least 6 months. Longer steeping improves the flavor.
  8. Every 4 weeks, gently shake the bottle once.
  9. After 6 months, taste the liqueur to check if the apple flavor is sufficient.
  10. Once satisfied with the flavor, strain out the apples and cinnamon stick. Pour the liqueur into a clean bottle for storage.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
