Ingredients

  • 700 g chicken breast
  • 1 red pepper (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 3 clove (s) garlic
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 200 ml orange juice
  • 5 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 small chilli pepper (s), dried
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 50 g cream
  • some salt and pepper
  • possibly sauce thickener, or flour

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts together with 200 ml of orange juice, 5 tablespoons of soy sauce and 3 cloves of garlic (sliced) in a bowl. This can happen overnight or, if time is short, a few hours before preparation. Chop the paprika into large pieces and the onions into fine cubes. Put the onions in a little oil in a pan and sauté a little. Then add the pepper pieces. In the meantime, remove the chicken breasts from the marinade (keep them) and cut into strips, add to the onions and peppers in the pan and fry them. Adjust a little with the heat so that the onions don`t turn black. Add the spices and deglaze with the remaining marinade. Let it simmer for a few minutes and add the coconut milk and cream. Let simmer for another 5 minutes. I don`t use any more sauce binding agents, but if you like it, you can add a sauce binding agent or flour. There is also rice or Mienudeln. A delicious and fruity dish with a slight spiciness.
