Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breast fillet (s) or turkey fillet
  • 2 red pepper (s)
  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 200 ml cream
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 3 tablespoon Metaxa
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoon tomato paste
  • some sugar
  • 200 g cheese, rated
  • 1 onion (s)
  • Paprika powder
  • garlic
  • Spice mixture, Greek
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into fine strips and marinate in a little oil and Greek spices - you can also do it the day before. Chop the onion and fry in a little oil, wash the peppers and cut into cubes, clean the mushrooms and also cut them into cubes. Add the vegetables to the onion, simmer on a low flame until all the liquid has evaporated, season with salt and pepper.
  2. In another pan, sear the meat without any additional fat, then add the vegetable mixture. Add sour cream, cream, tomato paste and Metaxa, simmer for 1 minute and season to taste.
  3. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200 °. Put the meat mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle with cheese. Baked for about 20 minutes until the cheese turns golden brown.
  4. This goes well with rice and tzatziki.
