Ingredients

  • 500 g minced beef
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 3 bell pepper (s), tricolor
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 500 g tomato (s)
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 cup water or broth, possibly more
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Sambal Oelek, or Tabasco to taste

Instructions

  1. Fry the onions, add the minced meat and fry well. Chop the peppers into small cubes and fry them. Season with salt, pepper, paprika powder and cayenne pepper. Add tomato paste, sambal oelek and rice and roast for a few minutes. Pour some boiling water or broth and the tomato strain on top. Add kidney beans and corn and simmer slowly until the liquid has evaporated and the rice is soft. Press in the garlic cloves 10 minutes before the end. Finally, season again to taste.
  2. The exact amount of water / broth depends on how much the rice needs, so add more if necessary, the rice should be nice and soft at the end.
