Ingredients

  • 125 g mararine or butter
  • 300 g suar
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 150 grams flour
  • 150 g almond (s), rated
  • 125 g chocolate flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch clove (s), ground
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 125 ml milk
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs until frothy. Mix the flour, almonds, chocolate shavings, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves and fold into the mixture. Finally add the milk. You can also take less than 125 ml, but the dough should be nice and liquid.
  2. Bake in a loaf pan at 180 degrees for 50-60 minutes. It is best to do a chopstick test. The stick can still be slightly damp even after 60 minutes. This is because the cake is not bone dry inside, but fluffy and airy.
  3. Tip: Can be eaten all year round, not just at Christmas time. Simply leave out the cloves, then the Christmas flavor is gone.
