Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the flour, eggs, water and salt until the batter starts to bubble. The dough is sliced in boiling water. Bring the resulting spaetzle to the boil briefly and skim it off with a strainer spoon.
  2. In a preheated casserole dish, add layers of spaetzle, grated cheese, salt and pepper to taste.
  3. I don`t mix up the layers. I put the mold in the preheated oven (250 ° C) for about 15 minutes on top heat until the cheese (top layer) is baked golden yellow.
  4. Before serving, put the golden-brown onions and butter over the pasta.
  5. You can also eat a green salad.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
