Ingredients

  • 125 g almond (s), round
  • 125 g wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons cardamom powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ salt
  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 1 egg yolk (size M)
  • 2 teaspoons orange peel (organic), grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ bitter almond flavor
  • 1 bag almond (s), whole kernels
  • some powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the flour, cardamom and salt and set aside. Beat the butter in a medium-sized bowl until creamy. Gradually stir in the icing sugar, egg yolk, orange peel and bitter almond oil. Add the flour mixture and the ground almonds and stir gently. Cover and chill for about 30 minutes.
  2. Cut off the cooled dough with a teaspoon, shape into balls and place 2 - 3 cm apart on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Press in a whole almond at a time.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven (175 ° C, top / bottom heat) on the middle shelf for about 15 - 18 minutes until the cookies are lightly browned on the underside. Let cool on a wire rack and dust with icing sugar.
