Ingredients

  • 280 g butter
  • 400 g dark chocolate
  • 500 g suar
  • 2 vanilla pods, the pulp it

  • 2 teaspoon espresso powder, instant

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter and sugar at room temperature until frothy. Add the 4 eggs and mix well.
  2. Slit the vanilla pods lengthways, scrape out the pulp and add a pinch of salt to the egg mixture.
  3. Cut the dark chocolate into pieces, melt in a water bath and then leave to cool for 5 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, mix the espresso powder with 4 tablespoons of warm water and add to the egg mixture. Mix the flour and cocoa powder well together and add to the mixture. Mix everything well until you have a homogeneous mixture and pour into a large springform pan (26 cm, 28 cm). Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C top / bottom heat for 45 - 50 minutes on the middle rack.
