  • 1 ¼ cup wheat flour
  • 0.75 ¾ cup cornmeal
  • 0.25 ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.25 ¼ cup sunflower oil
  • 1 egg (s), whisked

Instructions

  1. Mix everything with a spoon until the lumps dissolve (can`t actually go wrong). The result is a very sticky, fairly runny dough. Pour into a medium-sized, scratch-resistant casserole dish, from which it can later be divided into pieces and served with a spatula. Be careful, it sticks well to the edge, so a box shape is only conditionally suitable.
  2. Bake in a hot oven at 200 ° C for approx. 20-25 minutes.

  4. Serve warm, soak large quantities of maple syrup on your plate and ideally add whipped cream. In addition, our American friends like to have fruit salad, French toast, pancakes, omelets, hash browns and bacon on the table for Sunday breakfast.
