  • 250 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon anise
  • 150 grams flour
  • 100 g cornstarch (Mondamin)
  • 1 pinch baking powder

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs. Under the stiff egg whites of the 5 egg whites, add the 5 egg yolks and sugar, stir the mixture until foamy and mix in the selected anise as well as the flour and baking powder. This mass is filled into a greased box cake tin (28 cm) and baked in a preheated oven at 150 ° C for about 80 minutes.
  2. After cooling, you can eat the cake like this or cut the bread into 1/2 cm thick slices and bake them again light yellow.
