Ingredients

  • 300 grams flour
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 400 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 2 teaspoon herbs (frozen), Italian style
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), rated
  • 1 tablespoon water, cold
  • 400 g carrot (s) (also called roots)
  • Paprika powder, noble sweet
  • Flour for the countertop
  • Fat for the shape
  • possibly parsley

Instructions

  1. Knead the flour with butter in pieces, 1 egg, salt and 1 tablespoon of cold water to form a smooth dough. Cool for 30 minutes.
  2. Wash, peel, clean and slice the carrots. Fry the minced meat in the hot oil until crumbly. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Add the carrots and stew everything for 5 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Roll out the dough on the floured work surface, line a greased springform pan (26cm) with it and also form a high edge. Prick the dough base several times with a fork and cover with the carrot and minced meat mixture.
  4. Mix the sour cream with 4 eggs and herbs. Peel the garlic, press through and fold in. Pour the herb cream over the filling. Sprinkle everything with the grated cheese and bake the cake for about 45 minutes.
  5. Serve garnished with parsley.
  6. Tip: If you like, you can add 100g of diced feta (sheep`s cheese) to the carrot mince mixture.
