Instructions

  1. Grease a 26 cm diameter springform pan well and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (top / bottom heat).
  2. First stir the eggs, sugar and bourbon vanilla sugar until frothy. Then stir in the cream and lemon juice. Mix flour and baking powder, sieve into the sugar-cream mixture and stir. Then stir in the amaretto. Cut the peeled and pitted apples into small pieces and carefully fold in. Finally, carefully fold in the chocolate flakes.
  3. Put the dough in the springform pan and bake in the oven for about 50 - 60 minutes. After about half the baking time, cover the cake with baking paper. Let the cake cool in the pan.
  4. Important: Make sure to do the chopstick test (especially in the middle)! Due to the rather juicy dough, you have to be careful not to end the baking process prematurely.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
