Ingredients

  • 1 kg apples
  • 500 g onion (s)
  • 500 g apricot (s)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 700 g suar
  • 700 ml vinegar (wine vinegar, 5%)
  • 1 teaspoon, heaped ginger powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ chili powder or 1 paprika powder, hot pink

Instructions

  1. Peel the apples and onions. Wash and stone the apricots. Then cut everything into small pieces. Place in a saucepan with the salt-crushed garlic cloves, sugar, wine vinegar and all the spices. Cook to puree while stirring and add seasoning if necessary. Pour the chutney into prepared glasses that have been rinsed with hot while still hot and close tightly.
  2. The chutney can be preserved for a long time and gets better and better the longer it stands.
