Instructions

  1. Sieve the flour with baking powder and 1.5 teaspoons of the cinnamon. Add cardamom and salt. Peel the apples and cut into small cubes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 150 ° C fan oven. Grease a springform pan with a diameter of 24 cm and dust with flour.
  3. Whisk eggs and melted margarine together. Add the apple cubes, both types of sugar and vanilla sugar and mix thoroughly. Add the flour mixture in 3 portions to the apple mixture and stir. Fold in the walnuts. Put the batter in the springform pan.
  4. Put in the oven and bake for approx. 1 1/4 hours (cover with aluminum foil after approx. 45 minutes so that the cake does not get too dark). Let the cake cool down.
  5. Sift the powdered sugar and mix with the milk to form a glaze. Put a large part of the icing on the cake. Mix the other part with the rest of the cinnamon powder and use it to draw fine lines over the cake (if necessary, color this part darker with brown food coloring).
