Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 400 g flour
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 230 g butter
  • 280 g powdered suar
  • 120 ml milk
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 1 lemon (s), untreated, use the grated zest

For the sprinkles:

  • 200 g flour
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 150 g butter
  • cinnamon
  • 1 ½ kg apples, tart
  • vanilla sugar

Instructions

  1. For the crumble, sift the flour on the worktop and sprinkle the sugar on top. Add the butter in small pieces, the vanilla sugar and about 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Rub all ingredients between your hands until they are crumbly and put in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour.
  2. While the streusel is resting, peel the apples, cut into small cubes and, if necessary, drizzle with lemon juice.
  3. For the dough, sieve the flour with the baking powder. Beat the eggs in a small bowl and stir well. Mix the butter with the powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and lemon zest until frothy. Gradually add the eggs. Add the flour and milk alternately. Spread the mixture evenly on the greased and flour-dusted tray.
  4. Then distribute the apples and the crumble and bake for about 60 minutes in the oven preheated to 170 ° top / bottom heat.
  5. Let cool and cut into 12 pieces.
