Instructions

  1. Choose a nice, wide pot and fill it with the milk, oatmeal and nuts. If you like, you can now add the vanilla to taste. Then you slowly boil the milk and let it simmer for about 10 - 12 minutes. I start with induction with 6; when it is steaming, I turn it down to 4, towards the end of it down to 2.
  2. If your frozen berries are using berries as a topping, defrost them in the microwave 5 - 7 minutes before the porridge ends. For me at 180 watts for 6 minutes. Then both are finished at the same time.
  3. Now you grate an apple and add a good shot of orange juice, about 50 ml. When the cooking time is up, you sprinkle the porridge with cinnamon and mix the apple with the orange juice.
  4. I prefer to eat the porridge warm than cold. But you can also take it with you to work. It just gets a little firmer, similar to rice pudding. The portion is easily enough for two full cereal bowls.
