Instructions

  1. Peel the apples and, depending on the size, quarter or eighth, remove the core and cut the wedges into slices. Put the apple pieces in a baking dish and mix with a little lemon juice. Chop the cranberries a little and pour over the apples. Buttering the form is not absolutely necessary because the apples release liquid as the bottom layer and this prevents them from sticking.
  2. Melt 4 tablespoons of sugar in a pan and let brown lightly. Be careful, it burns easily! Stir in the chopped nuts and immediately pour onto baking paper. Again, be careful, the mass is very hot! Spread the mixture on the baking paper with forks, chop up after cooling and pour over the apples.
  3. Mix the flour and sugar well, pour in the butter while stirring with a fork. Shape the crumble and place in the baking dish as the top layer.
  4. Put the form in the preheated oven and bake at 190 ° C top and bottom heat, 175 ° C fan oven for about 25 minutes, until the crumble is lightly browned.
  5. Serve lukewarm, depending on your taste, e.g. with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream or crème fraîche.
  6. The amount is enough for 4-6 people.
