Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 200 g suar, brown
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 120 ml oil
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 2 apples

For the cast:

  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 50 g butter, soft
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 100 g powdered suar

Instructions

  1. For the batter, whisk the brown sugar, vanilla sugar, oil and cinnamon together. Stir in eggs one by one. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and slowly stir into the moist ingredients. Finally fold in the peeled and finely chopped apples. Line a muffin tin with paper liners and fill them evenly with the mixture.
  2. Bake at 180 ° C for about 20-30 minutes.
  3. For the topping, sieve the powdered sugar and whisk well with the cream cheese, vanilla sugar and butter. Place in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  4. Remove the cupcakes and let them cool down. Either spread the topping onto the muffins with a knife or use a piping nozzle to spray it in a circle from the outside in.
  5. If you like, you can leave out some cinnamon in the batter and sprinkle each cupcake with a touch of cinnamon later.
