Ingredients

  • 250 g mararine, or butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 100 g marzipan paste
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 300 g wheat flour, type 405
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking powder
  • 4 apples
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 125 g sour cream
  • 1 vanilla pod (s), the pulp
  • powdered sugar
  • Fat, for the tin
  • Flour, for the tray
  • 2 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel, quarter and slice the apples. Put in a bowl and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
  2. Slice the marzipan (put it in the freezer shortly beforehand, then it`s easier to slice it) or pluck it into small pieces.
  3. Mix the margarine / butter with 250g sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and the marzipan pieces until creamy. Stir in 4 eggs one after the other. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in.
  4. Grease a baking sheet (32x39cm) and dust with flour. Spread the batter on top. Spread the apple wedges on the dough and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C for 30 minutes.
  6. Mix 2 eggs with sour cream and vanilla pulp. Carefully pour the topping over the cake and bake for another 20-25 minutes at the same temperature. Chopstick sample.
  7. Let the cake cool and dust with powdered sugar.
