Ingredients

  • 100 g millet
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 100 ml milk
  • 100 ml water
  • 4 egg (s), separated
  • 4 tablespoon honey
  • 50 g hazelnuts, round
  • 1 lemon (s), juice and grated zest
  • 400 g apples, sour
  • 10 g butter

Instructions

  1. Bring the millet to the boil with the milk-water mixture, add the cinnamon, reduce the heat and let the millet simmer for another 8 minutes. Turn off and let the millet soak for another 15 minutes. Let cool down briefly.
  2. Mix the egg yolks with honey, nuts, lemon juice and lemon zest until frothy. Core and grate the apples. Fold the egg and nut mixture together with the grated apples into the millet. Beat the egg white until stiff and fold in.
  3. Put everything in a greased baking dish and bake in the oven at 175 degrees for 25-30 minutes until the surface has turned golden brown.
