Ingredients

  • 1 point puff pastry
  • 2 large apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 500 ml water
  • 100 g applesauce
  • 100 g quark
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix the quark and applesauce together. Mix the sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Halve the apples, hollow them out and cut into evenly thin slices. Drizzle the apple slices with lemon and cook in water for about 2 minutes so that they become softer. Then drain the soft apple slices.
  3. Meanwhile, the puff pastry is rolled out and cut into approx. 8 strips of the same width. Now a long half of the puff pastry strips is coated with a thin layer of quark and applesauce. Place the cooled apple slices along the uncoated puff pastry strip so that the individual slices are on top of each other. Sprinkle everything with cinnamon sugar and fold half of the curd apple sauce onto the apple slices.
  4. Finally, the strips are rolled up to create a rose. Put these roses in a muffin pan and bake in the preheated oven at approx. 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar before serving.
