Apple – Pear – Puree

Instructions

  1. Peel apples and pears and cut into small pieces. Bring the water, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, cinnamon and lemon juice to the boil, add the fruit. Cover and steam for approx. 5 minutes (depending on the size of the pieces).
  2. Pour off the water and pass the pieces through the mill while they are still hot or mash them with the potato masher.
  3. We like the puree best lukewarm with vanilla yoghurt or natural quark or, for example, with steamed noodles or pancakes.
  4. Tip for those in a hurry: Cook the fruit unpeeled and eat it as apple pieces instead of processing into puree.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
