Apple Pie for Vegans

It is difficult to describe the taste of this cake in one word – it is simply excellent! Delicate, aromatic and delicious! It is definitely not possible to limit yourself to one piece. Try it!

Ingredients

  • Flour – 180 Grams
  • Vegetable oil – 80 Milliliters
  • Apple cider vinegar – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 120 Grams
  • Soda – 1 Teaspoon
  • Vanillin – 1 Gram
  • Cinnamon – 0.5 Teaspoons
  • Apple – 3 Pieces
  • Walnuts – 30 Grams

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Cut two medium-sized apples in half, core and grate on a coarse grater. Remove the skin and transfer the pulp to a deep bowl.
  3. Add 70 gr. sugar, apple cider vinegar and vegetable oil. Stir.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, vanilla and cinnamon.
  5. Stir. The dough should be fairly thick and viscous.
  6. Line the bottom of the baking dish with parchment and oil well. Chop the walnuts, mix with the remaining sugar and spread evenly over the bottom of the mold.
  7. Cut the remaining apple in half, core and cut into wedges. Place in an even layer over the nut crumbs.
  8. Spread the dough on top and flatten it with a spoon, it should fill all the voids.
  9. Bake at 180 degrees. Readiness can be checked with a wooden skewer or a match.
  10. Allow the cake to cool slightly in the pan, then turn it upside down on a plate and remove the parchment. On top should be tender and juicy apples with nuts in caramel sauce. The vegan apple pie is ready.
