Instructions

  1. Make a kneading dough from flour, margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, salt and eggs. Wrap in cling film and place in the refrigerator.
  2. Peel the apples and cut into small pieces. Mix with applesauce and apple compote, add cinnamon and sugar to taste.
  3. Roll out the shortcrust pastry and place in a parchment-lined springform pan. Spread the apple mixture on top.
  4. Roughly chop the almonds. Melt the butter in a coated pan. Add the sugar and dissolve while stirring. Add the chopped almonds, cinnamon and syrup, mix well. The mass must be slightly tough, but still liquid. If it is still too firm, just add a little butter or syrup. Spread the almond mixture on the apples.
  5. Bake at 190 ° C for approx. 40 - 50 minutes. If necessary, cover with aluminum foil after 25 minutes so that the crust does not burn. The cake tastes lukewarm best. Vanilla ice cream goes very well with it.
