Ingredients

  • g 1,000 apples
  • g 1,000 plums
  • g 1,000 preservin suar, 2: 1
  • Lime juice, or lemon juice
  • Ginger root, grated, or ginger sugar
  • Vanilla flavor
  • 4 cl schnapps (plum)

Instructions

  1. Stone the plums, cut into small pieces, peel and core the apples and grate the apples.
  2. Put the apples in a large saucepan and sprinkle with lime or lemon juice, mix with 500 g of preserving sugar for about 15 minutes, then add the plum pieces and stir in the remaining 500 preserving sugar, stir in the vanilla flavor and ginger sugar or freshly grated ginger to taste.
  3. Bring to the boil and simmer for at least 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in the plum brandy about 15 seconds before the end, then pour into washed, hot-rinsed glasses and close with twist-off lids. Let stand on your head for at least 5 minutes.
