Apple Raisin Pie

Perhaps this is not really an apple pie, but rather, an apple pancake fried in the oven. Pieces of apple with raisins and cinnamon are poured with a batter made from eggs, milk and flour.

Ingredients

  • Large apple – 1 pc.
  • Light raisins – 1/3 cup
  • Brown sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon – ½ teaspoon.
  • Eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Milk – 2/3 cup
  • Flour – 2/3 cup
  • Butter (or margarine), melted – 2 tbsp
  • Powdered sugar (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Lubricate the round shape.
  2. Peel and cut the apple into thin slices and stir with raisins, sugar and cinnamon. Put in prepared form. Place in oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and increase temperature to 230 degrees.
  3. Beat eggs with milk, butter and flour until smooth. Pour the dough over the apples and raisins. Bake 15 minutes until dark golden brown. Flip onto a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
