Ingredients

  • 250 g rice puddin
  • 1.4 liters milk, possibly lactose-free
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 20 g butter
  • Cornstarch, as desired
  • 2 apples
  • 100 g applesauce, to taste
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • 2 tablespoon honey, liquid
  • 100 g almond (s), sliced

Instructions

  1. Bring the milk to the boil without the lid, stir in the rice pudding and gently simmer on low heat until it is crusty (or longer, as you like it best). Then add the sugar and vanilla sugar (if you prefer, simply simmer the contents of a vanilla pod). Stir in the butter and, if necessary, bind the rice pudding with cornstarch. However, it shouldn`t be too tight!
  2. In the meantime while simmering, grate 2 apples and mix them with a little apple sauce to make a mixture. Season with cinnamon.
  3. Now alternately layer rice pudding and apples in a large, transparent baking dish. The top layer should be rice pudding again. Now distribute the honey in strips (just let it run off the spoon). Carefully brown the sliced almonds in a coated pan without fat and spread on the rice pudding. Let this cool down and a delicious, creamy dessert is ready for all rice pudding lovers.
